ABOUT US

Our mission is to provide a fun and educational summer experience for school-aged children with a focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).  We also strive to provide opportunities that allow our campers to use their creativity, imagination, problem solving skills, and innovation to solve problems, work together, and most importantly...HAVE FUN!

From launching bottle rockets to designing bridges to creating art with chemistry, we strive to provide a hands on and cohesive curriculum integrating all areas of STEAM that will excite anyone...even us!

ABOUT OUR STAFF

Meet Gina Wenzel...
I’m a dedicated 6th-grade science teacher in the Egg Harbor Township School District and the proud founder of STEAM at the Shore. I live in EHT with my husband, two wonderful children, and our amazing rescue dog, Sable! My son is a sophomore at EHTHS and is a natural STEAMer, with a love for building and designing. Campers will get to meet hi as he volunteers and enjoys helping make STEAM at the Shore fun! My daughter is currently in 7th grade and is destined to be a teacher! She loves to volunteer and help the campers.  She is also designated the camp's official slime expert!

I'm in my 24th year of teaching with experience in grades 5-8, including both regular and special education. I bring a passion for hands-on learning to every classroom and camp session. I also hold a master’s degree in School Counseling and was honored to be named Teacher of the Year for 2022-2023!

This summer marks 9 incredible years of running STEAM Camps! Every year, we create unforgettable experiences filled with creativity, discovery, and fun. I can’t wait for another exciting summer at STEAM at the Shore—see you there!

Meet Ashley Mosetti...

Hello Campers!! I'm thrilled to be in my 15th year of teaching math in the Egg Harbor Township School District! I also call EHT my home, where I live with my husband and our adventurous daughter, Lucy. At just 5 years old, she's already showing signs of being a future engineer-I'm pretty sure we have a budding problem-solver on our hands!

As a senior fellow in the University of Notre Dame's STEM Education Program, I'm always exploring new and exciting ways to bring STEAM to life. Learning, creating, and discovering alongside my students is my favorite party of the journey.

I can't wait to meet you all and dive into the amazing world of STEAM together! Let's get ready for some hands-on fun!

Meet Cherie Arce...

Hey Campers! My enthusiasm for SCIENCE started when I was really young! As a little girl, I loved to create all different kinds of chemical concoctions and try them out on my Mom! My poor Mom was my lab rat LOL! And from there the scientist bug just stuck! After college I worked for a government contractor at the Transportation Security Lab as a chemist for several years, before transitioning into a teacher. Currently, I am in my 12th year of teaching 8th grade science in the Egg Harbor Township School District. I live in the Pine Barrens on the Mullica River with my boys and enjoy being out in the sunshine! I cannot wait to meet you all! It’s going to be a great summer!
